Keeping a child away from the street

A time of fellowship and friendship

PLCC girls welcomed a group of German pastors, American mission partners, as well as Kenyan pastors, church workers, and PLCC board members.

On Sunday, October 12, the PLCC girls welcomed a group of visiting pastors and mission partners to their home in Ongata Rongai for a time of fellowship and friendship. The visitors included a group of German pastors, American mission partners, as well as Kenyan pastors, church workers, and PLCC board members.

As the guests arrived, the girls and PLCC staff greeted and welcomed them. Visitors were given tours of the property, including the garden and grounds, the guesthouse, and the girls' residence houses. After touring the property, the girls and staff began a cultural presentation of songs, dancing, and poetry reading. The songs centered on the girls' Christian faith and love for God and their families and friends. The poetry reading addressed the issues of relationships, health, and love.

Finally, our guests were invited to share in our evening meal. Together we enjoyed a meal of common Kenyan foods. The PLCC girls returned to their houses to continue their studies and school work; after drinking chai and coffee, our guest departed.

The PLCC girls and staff appreciate the opportunity to welcome guests and are grateful for this visit from our international partners.
